Denton
Denton, Texas is located on the
north side of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Dallas is 37 miles to the southeast
via I-35E and Fort
Worth is 35 miles to the southwest via I-35W. The
Dallas/Fort
Worth International Airport is twenty-eight miles
to the south via I-35 East and Highway 121.
Denton is the county seat
of Denton County.The city and county
are a blend of agricultural and modern industries.Recreational activities
include intercollegiate sports, golf, hunting, and a wide range of water sports
at nearby reservoirs.
Standing guard over the city is the stately Denton County Courthouse.Around the courthouse are a variety of antique shops, restaurants, and specialty stores, including a giant used bookstore, Recycled Books.
Cultural attractions center around the Arts Complex and two major universities, the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University. TWU, including the Dallas and Houston campuses, is the nation's largest university primarily for women. UNT is the fourth largest university in Texas with the third largest graduate program in the state, behind University of Texas and Texas A&M.

If strolling through nature is what you like, be sure to visit the Greenbelt . The Greenbelt Hike/Bike/Equestrian Trail is located between Lake Ray Roberts and Lake Lewisville . This trail was established for outdoor enthusiasts to be able to hike and bike the entire length (about nine miles) of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River . Horseback riders can start their ride at FM 428 and continue all the way around the east side of Lake Ray Roberts, through the state park at Isle du Bois, and on to Jordan Park, near Pilot Point. Canoeists and kayakers will be able to take advantage of the three access points located at FM 455 (just below the Lake Ray Roberts dam), FM 428, and US 380 for put-in and take-out points.(information gathered from several Denton area websites)

is strategically positioned within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, 51 miles Northwest of Dallas and 48 miles Northeast of Fort Worth. It is only 13 miles North of the expanding community of Denton. Sanger is located on I-35, a major trade route between Mexico, United States, and Canada. This location allows Sanger the ability to benefit all types of businesses. The Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, the second busiest passenger airport in the world, is 35 miles from the heart of Sanger and Denton’s rapidly growing Municipal Airport is only 13 miles south of Sanger. Fort Worth’s Alliance Airport, the world’s first master planned Industrial Airport, is located 30 miles Southwest of Sanger. Dallas Love Field airports are 48 Miles South of Sanger. If rail service is required the Kansas City Southern and Union Pacific railroads facility is located at Alliance Airport. Rail service is also available and provided by Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe

Ray Roberts Lake State Park
Located east of Sanger is Ray Roberts Lake State Park. Situated along the shores of a 30,000-acre reservoir Ray Roberts Lake State Park Complex consists of two state park units (Isle du Bois and Johnson Branch), six satellite parks (Jordan Unit, Pond Creek, Pecan Creek, Buck Creek, Sanger, and Elm Fork), Wildlife Management Areas, wetlands, waterfowl sanctuaries and the 20 mile Ray Roberts Lake/Lake Lewisville Greenbelt Corridor. Incorporated in 1963, Argyle is a community known for its rural setting of wooded, gently rolling land and small-town life-style.
